Jason - A talkative and funny friend, who chose Hue-enter to explore Hue's unique values

Some words from one of the first foreign friends joining Hue-enter. Thank you so much, Jason!
Hue-enter.

"I have travelled all over the world for the past 6 years but never have come across a volunteer group quite like HUE ENTER. I did not even have to seek them out but rather they sought me out before I even arrived in Vietnam and began correspondences to try to help me plan what to see and do. At first reluctant, I agreed to meet a volunteer at 7 AM on my first day in Hue. The rain from a typhoon was pouring down but right on time not only 1 but 3 volunteers pulled up on their motorbikes in the rain and I hopped on!

We first stopped and enjoyed some local cuisine for breakfast and then enjoyed some coffee while talking and waiting for the rain to let up. A soon as it did we set off and they drove me around from site to site that are not on any tourist map. Even the first stop was a temple that was not even open but they had a monk allow us in for a unique opportunity. They had extensive information about all the locations being visited and were excited to share it with me. By the end of the day I did not consider these people as tour guides but rather friends.

A second day they came with another friend and they showed me around their high school and took me to Huyen Tran Cultural Center, both of which are not in any guidebook. We enjoyed a day together goofing off in the peaceful hills outside the city. Finally we went back to the city to enjoy some delicious local desserts along the river and walk around the flea market while talking into the evening.

HUE ENTER, although newly formed showed me a side of Vietnam and Hue I would have otherwise overlooked. They took their chances on a stranger and because of them I was able to experience some amazing things that other people will never get the chance to in addition to leaving with several new friends. It is my hope that they continue extending their gracious hospitality and knowledge of the city with more visitors! Thanks guys!

When in Hue be sure to look them up at hue-enter. com!
